Zouma played alongside John Terry for The Blues’s U’23 team on Monday as both stars work on their return from injuries.
Kurt had been out of action since February, when he sustained a serious knee ligament injury against Manchester United.
However, Terry started the season in the first-team but has now since been overlooked by manager Antonio Conte
Despite all that, Zouma has praised the 35-year-old and believes he is just as good as he has always been.
“The skipper (Terry) is still there, he’s still sharp and in good form,” Zouma told the Evening Standard.
“He did well (against Southampton Under-23s). It’s very good to get some advice from him.”
