Stefano Mauri was involved in Lazio’s fixed games against Genoa and Lecce two years ago.
The 33-year-old, who made 26 Serie A appearances last season, is set to be sidelined for the next six months, though has announced he will appeal the ban.
Lazio have escaped a points deduction, though have been fined 40 000 euros as Lecce, who are currently playing in Italy’s third tier after being relegated from Serie B for involvement in the Calcioscommesse scandal, will be forced to pay a 20 000 euro fine.
