Everton defender Leighton Baines is set to end all speculation regarding his future by signing a new contract at Goodison Park.

The English full-back has been linked with a move to Manchester United for the past three seasons now, and with David Moyes leaving Merseyside for Manchester, there were serious reports suggesting that Baines could follow suit.

However, after failing to capture him in the Summer, it now looks like the 29-year-old is ready to pen an extension at The Toffees and end all speculation linking him with a move to Old Trafford.

It is believed that Everton will offer Baines around £75k-a-week to stay on at Goodison, and this will all-but end Moyes’ pursuit of his former player as he now keeps tabs on Southampton’s Luke Shaw and Real Madrid’s Fabio Coentrao.
