Borussia Dortmund centre forward Robert Lewandowski is to undergo a medical in Munich ahead of a summer move to current reigning Bundesliga Champions Bayern Muinch.

The Polish international striker is set tomove to the Alliaz Arena on a free in the summer, once his Dortmund contract expires.

Lewendowski himself can also now enter into pre-contract with Pep Guardiola’s Bayern. He will join former Dortmund team-mate Mario Gotze in Baveria, with Bayern Munich beating the likes of PSG, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Manchester United to his signature.

Bayern are running away with the Bundesliga this season, and will want to replicate last season’s unbeaten achievement, as the German giants also won the Champions League, and the domestic German cup.

Dortmund have failed to live up to expectations this year, and Jurgen Klopp’s men are now some 12 points off top of the table Bayern Munich, who also have a game in hand, Dortmund are also down into fourth place with both Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Monchendgladbach ahead of them in the Bundesliga League table.

Though Borussia Dortmund have struggled Lewandowski has still be a prolific marksman, scoring 16 goals in 24 appearances in all competitions thus far this season, with Dortmund advancing to the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Klopp will be upset that another key player will leave the club, after the recent departures of Mario Gotze and Shinj Kagawa.
