Reports claim Reds have wrapped up £11.28million deal

Liverpool have reportedly reached an agreement with Corinthians over the sale of striker Alexandre Pato.

The Brazilian forward has been strongly linked with a move away from his homeland, with the Premier League a likely destination, and it’s now claimed that a deal with Liverpool has been wrapped up.

Reports earlier this week stated that Pato may fancy a trip to the Chinese league instead of England, but that has now been dismissed with Liverpool and Corinthians reportedly agreeing on a deal worth £11.28million.

Second Signing

Pato would be Jurgen Klopp‘s second Liverpool signing after the club announced the arrival of Marko Grujic earlier in the week from Red Star Belgrade.

Italian journalist, Alfredo Pedulla, is the person that has broken the news about the deal in place, and he confirmed that the striker rejected lucrative contracts from China in order to fulfill his dream of playing in the Premier League.

A formal announcement should be made in the next two weeks.
