The full-back, who is currently on loan at Livorno, is also being trailed by Lazio and Juventus, who are both believed to have had offers rebuffed during the last transfer window.
Mbaye, 19, has made 20 league appearances this season and Inter, mindful of interest from clubs from across Europe, are keen to extend his current deal beyond the summer of 2016.
The £2.2m-rated defender was part of the Inter team which won the NextGen Series youth competition in 2012.
