Liverpool are in talks with AC Milan striker, Mario Balotelli, according to Sky Sources.
Reports broke yesterday suggesting that The Reds had made a formal offer of around £17.6million for the Italian forward, and were also preparing a four-year contract, worth £90k-a-week
However, later that day, AC Milan rubbished the reports and claimed they had no formal offers for the 23-year-old.
Now, it appears that Balotelli’s representatives have flown over to England in order to meet with officials from Liverpool, and formal talks are underway, with the two parties hopeful a deal can be agreed quickly.
Liverpool are willing to pay up to £18m, which is just shy of Milan’s valuations, but they will still consider selling as they are keen to get the striker off their wage-bill.
