Liverpool are ready to beat Premier League rivals Chelsea to the signing of FC Porto midfielder Ruben Neves.
The highly-rated teenager has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge for the past few months, with some reports suggesting that Jose Mourinho could splash around £29million on him.
However, according to reports, Jurgen Klopp is also interested in the 18-year-old and is keen on bringing him to Anfield.
Klopp is so adamant on signing Neves, he sent a team of scouts to watch the midfielder during Portugal’s under 21 match against Hungary on Friday night.
Despite being just 18-years-old, Neves made over 30 appearances for Porto last season.
