Adam Lallana is on his way to Liverpool for advanced talks with the club, ahead of a proposed move from Southampton.
The deal is likely to be in and around the £25 million mark, with Lallana heading the Liverpool’s Melwood training ground for a medical.
And Liverpool are looking at completing the deal as early as this evening, if all goes through smoothly.
BBC Sports reporter Ben Smith broke the news earlier, on his Twitter account.
Southampton had hung on fr several months, however they have now accepted the deal for the winger, who represented England at the World Cup finals this summer.
Lallana made 38 appearances for Southampton last season, scoring nine goals.
