Liverpool are reported to be in pole position to sign Xherdan Shaqiri.
They missed out on Henrikh Mkhitaryan who chose to sign for Borussia Dortmund. This meant Rodgers had to look elsewhere in order to improve his team.
It is now said that he is ready to offer Bayern up to £20 million to sign Xherdan Shaqiri.
The 21-year-old attacker made only 17 starts last season for Bayern and the addition of Mario Götze won’t make it any easier to establish himself in the first team.
Shaqiri however isn’t bothered about the signing of Götze as he believes they can play together.
