Liverpool are leading the race to sign Fiorentina winger Juan Cuardrado.

The 25-year-old – who will feature at this summer’s World Cup for Colombia – has been watched by a host of top clubs across Europe and was linked with Arsenal in February. But it is Liverpool who are thought to be in pole position, with the Premier League his preferred destination.

Cuadrado is rated at around £20million but one complication is the fact he is co-owned by Fiorentina and their Serie A rivals Udinese. However, both clubs are said to be willing to cash in on the winger, who has scored seven times so far this season.
