Liverpool are reportedly considering a summer move for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The 22-year old is believed to want a large increase on what he is currently paid at Arsenal, with some reports even suggesting he wants a 200% wage increase on his current deal of around £52,000 a week.
This is because he wants to be considered on the same standing as club and country teammates Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott and wants to be earning the same amount of money as they do.
It is a massive increase and although Arsene Wenger isn’t too keen on letting the Ox leave, he could be forced to, with the Gunners not willing to completely match the amounts he is asking for.
Step in Liverpool, who are interested in the winger and have approached Arsenal to see if they could potentially do a summer deal for the England man.
He could cost up to £30m and his wage demands would be rather large but if the Reds are willing to pay him what he wants – and Arsenal aren’t – then they could end up bringing him to Anfield.
