Liverpool are desperate to finalise a deal to sign Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno that they are prepared to offer Suso as part of the deal.
The Spanish international has already shown his desire to move to Anfield by dropping him huge wage demands, leaving only a fee needing to be a agreed.
It is understood that Moreno will sign for Liverpool by the end of the week for £16m plus Suso, who will travel to Sevilla on a loan-deal.
Rodgers rekindled his interest in the left-back as result of losing out on both Ben Davies and Ryan Bertrand to Tottenham and Southampton respectively.
But considering his fluid and attacking style of play, mixed with a youthful exuberance that would endear him to the Anfield faithful – Moreno is clearly more suited to Brendan Rodgers’ long-term strategy.
