Mamadou Sakho is keen to leave PSG as he is now 4th choice for Blanc after Thiago Silva, Alex and Marguinhos.
The 23-year-old, considered one of France’s absolute best young players, told PSG he wants to leave as he wants to play first team football and to secure a place in the World Cup in Brazil next year which you don’t get selected to if you are stuck on the bench, he claims.
France coach Didier Deschamps has publicly stated that if a player wants to play in the national team, you will have to play regularly in your club too.
Liverpool have long been linked with Sakho who is said to replace Daniel Agger, whose been strongly linked with Barcelona lately.
Mamadou is rated to €13m and Liverpool is expected to lodge a bid around his rating with Monaco and AC Milan also considering a bid for the powerful central defender.
