Liverpool Football Club are expected to announce the signing of Marko Grujic later today after they reached an agreement with Red Star Belgrade.
The midfielder has undergone a medical with the Premier League side and has also agreed personal terms with the club ahead of a proposed £5.1million move.
Grujic will be unveiled as a Liverpool player before flying back off to Red Star Belgrade in order to complete the season with them on a short-term loan deal until the end of the campaign.
The 19-year-old has been waiting on a work permit for the deal to be finalised, but according to reports, it’s finally been given the green-light and a deal should be announced at some point throughout today.
A few clubs were thought to be after Grujic, but it’s believed Jurgen Klopp‘s personal intervention persuaded the teenager to pick Anfield.
The Reds are expected to make a couple more signings throughout the month as well.
