Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers believes that more players will be leaving the club before the transfer window slams shut on Monday evening.

With Mario Balotelli joining the club in a £16 million deal from AC Milan earlier this week, it may have signalled the end of Liverpool’s transfer activity this summer.

However, the Reds boss has claimed that players could yet still leave the club before Monday’s 11pm UK time deadline, with Daniel Agger and Lucas two potential targets for teams across Europe.

“There will be more moving out than in,” Rodgers said.

“The players know. There’s not many more to come in, if any.”

Balotelli became Liverpool’s ninth summer signing, and to allocate all of them once they’re all fit Rodgers will have to streamline his squad further before the end of the window.

The Italian is expected to make his Liverpool debut away to Tottenham Hotspur this Sunday.
