In the biggest game of the season so far, Liverpool host Manchester United at Anfield tonight.

It’s a clash of two decent teams, with Liverpool the ones in better form at the moment, however, United have a team that could do plenty of damage.

However, if we were to pitch both of the best sides from the 21st century, who would make the teams? And who would win? There are some top players who have played for both sides. These are the teams Sillyseason chose.

Here’s our Liverpool team. The only area we had difficulty choosing is the right-wing position. Sadio Mane has had a fantastic start to his Liverpool career…but doesn’t deserve a spot in this side just yet. We went with Dirk Kuyt, who worked outstandingly hard in the team when he was at Anfield.
