The striker has struggled to adapt to life in Italy

According to reports in Italy, Liverpool have entered negotiations with Juventus over the possible transfer of Fernando Llorente.

The Spanish international joined the Serie A champions on a free transfer from Athletic Bilbao in 2013, but has really struggled to fit in at the Old Lady.

The departure of fellow centre forward Carlos Tevez to Boca Juniors would seem to open the doorway to Llorenete at Juve. However, he finds himself further down the pecking order, behind Alvaro Morata and new striker signings Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala.

The pull of the Premier League

According to the Turin based newspaper, Tuttosport, Juventus rejected an £11 million bid from AS Monaco who want to replace Radamel Falcao; as he seems to be on his way out from the French outfit.

It is believed the pull of the Premier League will see the 30-year old Llorente join Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool.

The attacker scored just nine goals in 45 appearances in all competitions last campaign.
