According to the player’s representative, FC Porto are prepared to sell holding midfielder Giannelli Imbula in this transfer window.
The Frenchman only joined the club last summer from Ligue 1 team Marseille, but has struggled to hold down a starting spot at the Estadio Dragao – making just nine appearances.
Comments from Imbula’s agent, Willy Ndangi, has sparked interest from several clubs around Europe; one of which is Ronald Koeman’s Southampton.
However, it’s two other Premier League teams in Arsenal and Chelsea who are reportedly set to battle it out for the 23-year old.
When speaking to Calciomercato, Ndangi said: “We know that Porto want to sell Giannelli, but at the moment we haven’t had any contact with other clubs. We could talk to some sides starting from Monday.”
