Dejan Lovren has handed in a formal transfer request at Southampton.
The defender has been linked with several clubs over the last few weeks, including both Liverpool and Tottenham.
Lovren signed from Lyon in 2013, and has played 31 Premier League games for the Saints, scoring two goals as they finished eigth in the League.
The player is currently away with Croatian national side on international duty in preperation for the World Cup in Brazil.
And it appears that Liverpool are set to table a bid for the defender.
Southampton are likely to demand a large fee for the player, after letting Rickie Lambert leave for Liverpool in a £4 million fee.
