Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva is said to be interested in a loan move to Inter Milan in January, according to Italian reports.

The Brazilian wants to play regular first team football, and new Inter boss Roberto Mancini is keen to sign him.

A reunion with Rafa Benitez at Napoli looked to be on the cards for Lucas, but Italian publication Calcio Mercato suggest that Inter are the frontrunners to sign the 27 year old .

Benitez bought Lucas for £5 million during his six year reign at Anfield.

Inter would like to bring in Lucas on loan, but Liverpool reportedly will only sell him on a permanent deal, and aren’t interested in negotiationg a loan move.
