Luis Suarez has been accused of biting Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini during Uruguay’s 1-0 win over Italy in the Group stage of the World Cup finals.

A Diego Godin header sent the Uruguay side through to the knock out stages.

The Liverpool forward clashed with the Italian, and appeared to bite the shoulder of Chiellini, during a heated challenge over a free kick.

Chiellini then got up and confronted Suarez about the incident, with players from both sides clashing together.

Suarez was captured holding his teeth in pain, in another awful moment for the controversial striker.

It is not the first time Suarez has been involved in a biting incident, with the striker handed a seven match ban whilst at Dutch club Ajax, for biting PSV’s Otman Bakkal in November 2010.

Suarez then bit Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic on the shoulder in the April of 2013, in a Premier League game between Liverpool and Chelsea.

He was given an eight match ban for his actions by the FA.
