Man City are close to completing a deal for Nolito.
According to reports, the forward could be a City player very soon, with some reports claiming a deal could even be done by the end of this week.
The Spaniard has been a target for Pep Guardiola over the past few weeks and a deal appears to be getting closer to completion with the 29-year old heading to Manchester in the coming days to help finalise a deal.
Guardiola and Nolito have a good relationship, with the manager giving the player his first start for Barcelona’s first team back when he was at the Nou Camp in 2010/11.
Since then, the forward has been to Portugal and then back to Spain with Granada on loan and now Celta Vigo.
Guardiola is now keen for a reunion with the 29-year old in England and is hopeful a deal can be agreed soon.
He has been helped with this because of the fact that Spain have now been knocked out of the Euros – it means Nolito – who featured quite heavily for his national side at the tournament – is now back home and able to travel to England to complete a deal.
