Man United scouts are keeping an eye on Dnipro winger Yevhen Konoplyanka. The player has also been a long-time Liverpool target and has also recently been watched by PSG, Tottenham, Arsenal and Schalke.

He could be available for £12m this summer and with that news, the Red Devils have joined the race to sign him. A deal was nearly completed last January to send him to Anfield for £20m but the move collapsed, while Tottenham have also maintained contact with Dnipro while looking to hire a new manager.

Despite all this, United may swoop in and claim the winger’s signature in the transfer window. The Old Trafford club were originally approached about a possible move last year but they rejected the offer as they believed he wasn’t consistent enough.

Their mind’s may have been changed by new boss Louis Van Gaal who is an admirer of the Ukranian. United will take a look at the scout reports before making a decision on whether to bid for the player in the coming weeks. He isn’t a priority as he doesn’t play in a position that Van Gaal neccesarily wants to improve, so they could look to sign other players before Konoplyanka.

But when the club have wrapped up deals in other positions, expect the Red Devils to lodge a bid for the 24-year old.
