With Sanches snubbing a move, the Red Devils have turned to Gomes instead

Man United’s new number one midfield target is Andre Gomes, according to reports.

talkSport has claimed that after being snubbed by Renato Sanches – who has instead put pen-to-paper on a deal with Bayern Munich – the Red Devils are lining up a move for Gomes.

The Valencia star is only 22-years old and has bags of talent, with the Spanish side and the Red Devils both believing he has the potential to become a world-class player.

Valencia want a huge £50m

However, it means that Gomes is in high demand – it isn’t just United who are chasing his signature. Several teams across Europe have all expressed an interest in him and it means that Valencia have slapped a very high price-tag of £50m on him.

Whether any side will pay that amount we will have to wait and see but the fee won’t put off United, who could try and sign him for less than that amount.

Gomes has featured 36 times for Valencia in all competitions this season, scoring five goals and nabbing four assists. He has impressed massively with his superb dribbling ability and good eye for a pass and he could be just the player United need.
