According to reports, Premier League side Manchester City are preparing a whopping bid to bring FC Barcelona ace Lionel Messi to England.
It has been claimed that the mega-spenders in England are willing to spend around £250million for the Argentine international, which would easily make him the world’s most expensive footballer.
The 26-year-old is currently discussing a new contract with Barca officials, but the talks have been dragging for months now, and it’s thought that Messi is growing more and more frustrated with his situation at the Nou Camp.
However, Messi has previously stated that he will never leave Barcelona and would retire at the Catalan club due to everything the club has done for him medically.
It is believed that City would be prepared to offer the Argentinian around £300k-a-week, similar to what Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney is earning.
