According to talkSPORT, Manchester United are lining up a January transfer window bid for Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann.
It was believed that Chelsea would be the team from England’s top flight who would sign the French international, this is because the Blues’ boss Jose Mourinho is an admirer of the player.
However, with Mourinho’s job at Stamford Bridge under threat, reports are suggesting it will be the United manager Louis van Gaal who snaps up the 24-year old.
Griezmann has recently signed an improved contract with Atleti, but he could still leave the Vicente Calderon if someone meets his £57.3 million release clause.
The former Real Sociedad man has scored seven goals in all competitions this season; such form has made him one of the hottest prospects in European football.
