Braga youngster Rafa Silva looked like he may have been heading to Anfield after being heavily linked with Liverpool in summer but it now seems Louis Van Gaal has hijacked the move.
Louis van Gaal has reportedly sent scouts to Portugal to watch the winger in a bid to bolster his squad during the summer transfer market.
Silva, 21, has already earned 3 caps for the Portuguese national side and has helped his side to 4th place in the Primeira Liga.
The youngster has scored 4 goals in 28 appearances this season and is valued at £5.5million.
It seems Brendan Rodgers has not yet given up in his pursuit of the player and it is felt he will do all he can to lure the player to Anfield instead of Old Trafford.
