Manchester United have refused to dismiss reports linking them with unemployed Jose Mourinho.
Reports in Spain emerged yesterday that the former-Chelsea manager had agreed a five-year deal in principle with Manchester United, and when questioned about the suggestions, a source inside Old Trafford refused to dismiss them.
Current manager Louis van Gaal is under real pressure after six games without a win, and according to reports, he’s been given two games to save his job.
United travel to Stoke City on Boxing Day before hosting Chelsea on Monday.
It’s believed if the Red Devils don’t get six points out of six, Van Gaal will be sacked and immediately replaced by Mourinho.
When asked about the managerial change, a source inside Old Trafford refused to comment on Van Gaal’s future.
A United club source said: “There’s nothing to report here. We are just not getting involved in this.”
