Manchester United are set to launch a bid for Monaco winger James Rodriguez. This has come after his very impressive world cup performances for his native Columbia. The 22 year old has become one of the hottest names in football and his 6 goals has mafde him the top goal scorer of the competition. He only moved to Monaco last summer but United are hoping Monaco will agree to part with the player for a quick profit.
The fee is rumoured to be in the region of £65 million, however with bonuses it can rise to £90 million. However any move will depend on how keen Rodriguez is for the move. Monaco are a very rich club and are not pressured to sell, although selling Rodriguez would help with their financial fair play regulations.
