United prepared to part ways with David De Gea for Gareth Bale

Manchester United are finally prepared to let David De Gea leave the club, but only if they can secure Gareth Bale in the deal with Real Madrid.

The shot-stopper has been strongly linked with a return to Spain as Madrid eye a long-term replacement for Iker Casillas, but as of yet, United have been reluctant to sell their star-asset.

De Gea’s Rise

De Gea has been a stand-out performer at Old Trafford for the past two seasons and has quickly become one of the world’s best goalkeepers, but according to reports, they are finally ready to part ways with the Spaniard.

Louis Van Gaal believes De Gea is worth around £45million, so would offer the goalkeeper as well as cash in order to lure Bale back to the Premier League.

Second-Season Syndrome

The Welshman has had a tough season this year after a stunning debut campaign, and he could be set for a quick return to England with United and Chelsea interested.

It’s not understood how much cash United would offer as well as the player, but they are believed to be willing to offer around £100m for the winger.

This would mean they would offer De Gea plus £55m in order to sign Bale.

Mega-Contract

United are also prepared to offer him a lucrative contract worth around £300k-a-week, making him one of the club’s highest earners alongside Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie.
