Manchester United are keen on signing Southampton defender, Nathaniel Clyne, and are prepared to pay up to £20million.
The right-back has been a standout performer for Ronald Koeman’s side and was one of the originals that stayed at St Marys over the Summer during the mass exodus.
Clyne, who has been called up to the England squad for his recent form, has enjoyed yet another fine season and his performances have caught the eye of Louis Van Gaal, who is still eyeing up defensive improvements.
The 23-year-old is thought to be high on Van Gaal’s wishlist and the club could even offer up to £20m for the right-back.
Clyne has also been watched by Liverpool as the Merseyside club ponder another bid for a Saints star.
