Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli took to his official Twitter account yesterday to mock rivals Manchester United, after their shock 5-3 loss to newly-promoted, Leicester City.
The controversial figure is known for his antics on and off the field, but yesterday’s simple-tweet ended badly for the striker as he was confronted with thousands abusive and racial messages which are now being investigated by police.
The tweetd got re-tweeted a whopping 130,000 times, and it sparked thousands of disgusting and negative tweets aimed back at the Liverpool striker.
Balotelli tweeted: ‘Man Utd…..LOL’ (as seen in the above picture).
United were 3-1 up at one stage before a second-half collapse saw them lose 5-3 and end with 10-men on the field.
