Mario Gotze has put Liverpool on red-alert by admitting he’s considering his future at Bayern Munich.
The German international hasn’t enjoyed a successful spell at the Allianz Arena since completing a move from fierce-rivals Borussia Dortmund, and he’s already thinking about a transfer away from the club.
Due to the competition for first-team places, Gotze‘s first-team opportunities have been rather limited, and that’s lead to him being unhappy at the club.
The 23-year-old has been speaking about his future in a recent interview, and he was asked about a potential reunion with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, and the midfielder refused to rule it out.
Gotze admitted that he has a special relationship with Klopp, alerting Liverpool, who have been linked with making a formal move for him in recent months.
“I know Klopp really well, our cooperation was outstanding,” Gotze told German newspaper Bild. “He is definitely a very good coach.”
Gotze was then asked about his long-term future and possible plans on leaving Munich, and he admitted that nothing is certain as of yet.
“I haven’t decided what will happen after the season,” he added.
“Everything depends on the plans of the new coach. I have not thought about my future much due to my recent injuries but as I said: nothing has been decided yet.
“I want to play. Everything else, we’ll see in the summer.”
