PSG defender Marquinhos has said that Neymar won’t return to either Barcelona or Real Madrid and will stay at PSG. For a while now, there have been several reports that link Neymar to Real Madrid. During the World Cup, there were rumors of Real Madrid making a huge bid for Neymar which the club later denied.

Last week, reports claimed that Neymar was eager to return to Barcelona. However, Barcelona’s vice-president Jordi Cardoner said that the club had no intention to bring the Brazilian back. Neymar played 186 matches for Barcelona from 2013-2017, scoring 105 goals before leaving for PSG for a world-record transfer fee of €222 million.

Neymar missed PSG’s match against Amiens which they won 5-0. Goals from Marquinhos, Adrien Rabiot, Julian Draxler, Kylian Mbappe and Moussa Diaby gave PSG their 10th successive Ligue 1 win. Following the match Marquinhos stated that Neymar wasn’t leaving PSG. He said, “I wish Real Madrid and Barcelona the best of luck in their attempt to bring Neymar away from here. People know what our president is like, how he is with his people and how he loves our important players.

So I don’t see any reason why he should leave. He has even denied it on social media so I can’t speak for him, you should ask him.”

Neymar will probably start in PSG’s Champions League fixture against Napoli on Wednesday.
