Ligue 1 side Marseille have confirmed the signing of Dimitri Payet from West Ham.
Payet recently told West Ham that he wanted to leave and things got ugly as he refused to play for the club, stating he wanted to go home for ‘family reasons’.
He spent yesterday having a medical at Marseille and has now completed the move thought to be worth around £25million.
Payet signalled his exit from English football by posting on Twitter a photo of the plane that would take him to France, complete with the caption “on rentre a la maison”, which translates as “we’re going home”.
Sky Sports understands he has taken a £25,000-a-week pay-cut after also rejecting huge offers from China.
