Manchester United will apparently insist upon the inclusion of Koke in any potential deal taking Juan Mata to Atletico Madrid.
Reports suggest that the reigning La Liga champions have set their sights on the former Chelsea playmaker who moved to Old Trafford for £37.1m in January of last year.
Mata has struggled to establish himself in the starting XI at United, with stiff competition from Ander Herrera, Angel di Maria and the recent moving of Wayne Rooney to a deeper role.
Koke has been scouted by Chelsea and Manchester City, but Atletico’s coveting of Mata may put United in pole position to land the talented midfielder in the summer.
