Matuidi allowed to leave PSG this summer

Manchester United target Blaise Matuidi will be allowed to leave PSG this summer.

The Frenchman has struggled for game time in Paris over the last few seasons.

But despite Laurent Blanc getting the axe and Emery coming in, Matuidi’s position on the bench looks set to continue.

And as United consider him as a backup in case Paul Pogba doesn’t arrive, Emery has revealed he could be off before the window closes.

He told French paper L’Equipe: “He is a very good player.

“We have a lot of left-footed defensive midfielders.

“If he has the opportunity to leave and if he thinks there are too many midfielders here… But I do not want him to go.”
