Former-Manchester United and Liverpool striker Michael Owen has put together his combined XI for the two clubs as they prepare to go head-to-head at Old Trafford this Saturday.
The long-running rivals kick-off on Saturday evening and Owen has been speaking ahead of the game before giving his combined XI for both teams.
Owen made his name at Anfield when he broke through as a teenager, but after spells with Real Madrid and Newcastle United, he ended up at Old Trafford with United.
The striker ended his career with Stoke City and he is now a commentator for BT Sport.
With the match the stand-out fixture this weekend, Owen has been discussing the game and putting together a combined team, but he feels The Red Devils are ahead of their rivals and he’s shown that by picking eight United players and just three Liverpool stars.
He said: “Having played for both teams I know this is going to upset quite a few people.
“But Manchester United are slightly ahead of Liverpool in terms of quality at present.”
Below you can see the XI Owen chose.
