Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has declared that the club have no intention of making a bid for Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus.

Speaking ahead of the Blues’ Champions League encounter against another German club, Schalke, Mourinho denied any talk of the club joining the hunt for Reus.

Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all said to be in the hunt for the player.

Reus has a release clause in his contract that will value him at around £20m.

He has been ruled out of action until January after picking up an injury as a result of a tackle by Paderborn’s Marvin Bakalorz in the sides’ Bundesliga clash at the weekend, which ended 2-2.

Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp revealed that the loss of Reus is a major blow for the club.

He said: “It was a horrific moment. It’s a red card. A draw in Paderborn isn’t that dramatic, but the loss of Reus is harder to accept”.

With all the speculation surrounding Reus’ future, one place it seems he won’t be heading to is West London.
