Manchester United manager David Moyes believes that english striker Wayne Rooney will surpass Bobby Charlton’s goalscoring record for both club and country. Bobby Charlton is currently the top goalscorer for England with 49 goals and Manchester United with 249 goals in all competitions. When Wayne Rooney has 38 goals for England meaning he only needs 12 goals to surpass Bobby Charlton and he has 203 goals for Manchester United leaving a gap of 46 goals.

Wayne Rooney is a striker on fine form and closing in on the goalscoring records for club and especially country and only at the age of 27. Rooney at the beggining of the season was rumoured to be considered second best to Robin Van Persie and showing interest of leaving Manchester United and now he’s in fine form for country and club and looking like he’s going to break records in the foreseable future.
