Manchester United boss David Moyes ignored Sir Alex Ferguson’s words of advice upon taking the Old Trafford hotseat.
Ferguson advised Moyes to keep on top his backroom staff at Old Trafford.
Moyes has openly stated that he has consulted various players on transfer speculation, something Alex Ferguson NEVER did.
The United boss has briefed centre forward Wayne Rooney, of any new possible transfers in the summer.
Ferguson revealed in his best selling book….
“Wayne said that we should have pursued Mesut Ozil. My reply was that it was none of his business who we should have gone for. I told him it was his job to play and perform.”
The pair’s public fall-out was down to Rooney’s desire to get involved in any transfer activities.
Rooney has recently signed a whopping £300,000 a week deal, and is happy about the policy Moyes has set to him, after speaking to him regarding the recent transfer of Juan Mata.
