Nathan Ake has said the decision to join Bournemouth was purely to ‘play more games’

The Defender failed to feature much under Antonio Conte at Chelsea and had been wanting more time on the pitch

The-22-year-old centre-back joined Bournemouth in a 22million deal and admits he does not believe he would have been given a chance by Chelsea manager Antonio Conte in the near future which forced him to leave.

‘The decision to come here was to be able to play more games which is important for me and that is why I came here,’ Ake said, after starring in Bournemouth’s pre-season friendly defeat to Valencia on Sunday. ‘There are no guarantees that I will play coming here but if I train hard and play well then I will have a chance.’
