Benfica midfielder Nemanja Matic is currently undergoing a medical at former-club Chelsea, ahead of his £21million move back to Stamord Bridge.
Matic left the Premier League just three seasons ago as part of the David Luiz deal, but since Jose Mourinho’s return to the club, he has been keen to strengthen his midfield, and Matic was one of his main targets.
The 25-year-old flew to London last night and is set to have his medical today with the deal to be announced either tonight or tomorrow.
Despite spending £21m on Matic, it will really only cost The Blues £5m as they look set to sell Kevin De Bruyne to Wolfsburg for £16m.
