Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele is attracting interest from Premier League duo Newcastle United and Aston Villa.

The Belgium power-house has told Spurs that if he doesn’t get regular football, he will seek a transfer away from the club so that he has a good chance of making Belgium’s World Cup squad next Summer.

Since the busy transfer window, where Tottenham spent over £100million on new faces, Dembele’s first-team spot has been given mainly to Paulinho, which has left the former-Fulham man struggling to get game-time.

With Seria A side Napoli also interested, a move could be on the cards in January, especially if Newcastle and Villa ram up their interest in the new year.

In a recent interview, Dembele admitted that he is feeling frustrated about the lack of game-time at White Hart Lane.

“I can not be satisfied with it, of course, I just want to play as many games.

“The coach explained that he makes a tactical choice, he wants more defensive players in midfield.”

It is also thought Southampton, Cardiff and Swansea City are also interested in the 26-year-old.
