Brazil star set to extend Camp Nou stay despite Red Devils interest

Neymar has announced he is ready to sign a new contract at Barcelona, despite reportedly being interest in joining Manchester United.

The Brazil international has been subject of speculation about his future in Spain, with United reportedly prepared to pay a world-record £240 million for the forward.

However, Barcelona are prepared to offer Neymar a deal worth in excess of £500,000-a-week on a six-year deal to ease any fears the Brazilian could be tempted away from the Camp Nou.

Neymar happy at Barcelona

“I am very happy at Barca, and in Barcelona, where I have settled very well.” Neymar told Mundo Deportivo.”I have three more years left on my contract, and my father looks after these things. Of course [I want to renew], but we’ll talk about that later.”My only concern at the moment is to be focused on helping the team and to keep winning trophies at Barca.”

A deal is expected to be done in December, just months are Neymar’s representatives had been in contact with United. Barca will extend his buyout clause to £182 million, however, that would not necessarily stop the Red Devils from pursuing their target.

The Brazil international has scored four goals in six league appearances for Barcelona this season.
