Canaries join race to sign Liverpool outcast

Newly-promoted Norwich City have entered the race to sign Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert.

The England international has failed to impress during his one-year at Anfield, and with Christian Benteke set to arrive and Danny Ings already arriving, Lambert‘s game-time next season could be limited.

Brendan Rodgers is keen to offload at least one of his current strikers, and with interest in Lambert reportedly high, it could be the veteran that leaves first.

Lambert Struggles/Premier League Interest

The 33-year-old signed for Liverpool this time last year, after agreeing to leave Southampton, but after a failed debut season, he is now set for a brief exit from his boyhood club.

Norwich, who have just returned to the Premier League, have reportedly entered the race to sign the former-Saints star, but face competition from Tony PulisWest Bromwich Albion.

According to reports, The Baggies could make a £3million bid later this week for the striker.
