Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho’s odds to be sacked have been cut following their slow start to the Premier League season.
The Blues have gained just one point from their opening fixtures to Swansea and Manchester City, as well as the club making the news for the wrong reasons over the last seven days.
This has led to a high number of punters backing Mourinho to be sacked from the club, which would still seem very harsh considering their dominance in the Premier League last season.
However, Paddy Power have slashed the odds from 25/1 to just 16/1 over the past 24 hours, putting Mourinho as the 9th most likely manager to be next to leave their respective club.
Having just signed a new four-year deal at Stamford Bridge this may look a little far-fetched, but football is always unpredictable and it hasn’t been the smoothest start to the season for the Londoners.
Dick Advocaat is the front runner at 5/4 following Sunderland‘s tragic start to the season, with Watford‘s Quique Sanchez Flores second at 10/1.
