Crystal Palace have confirmed the signing of Jordan Ayew from Swansea City on a permanent deal.

The Ghana international spent the last season on loan at Selhurst Park, recording 2 goals and 2 assists in 25 appearances.

His addition will give the Eagles the much-needed strength in attack as reports continue to link Wilfried Zaha with an exit move. Roy Hodgson’s entire transfer window has been consumed by talks of his star player potential leaving South London for the more established Arsenal.

Both clubs have been involved in negotiations for this long but an agreement has not been reached yet. As the transfer window slowly draws to a close, it is unlikely that the Gunners will meet Palace’s asking price.

Even if Unai Emery’s side deflect on their interests for the winger, the problem is expected to remain at Selhurst Park. Zaha has tried his very best to push for a transfer this summer, even reportedly asking Palace to trade him away to Arsenal.

His brother came out and claimed how much the Ivory Coast international liked the Premier League giant since he was a child. Hodgson has no doubt, a lot of issues to fix ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

Signing Ayew is a wonderful move as the player can operate from various attacking positions. With Andros Townsend and Christian Benteke also in the side, the Eagles don’t look to bad for the upcoming season.
