OFFICIAL: Thomas Meunier Signs With Borussia Dortmund On A Free Transfer

Borussia Dortmund have officially completed the signing of Thomas Meunier on a four-year deal.

His contract with Paris Saint-Germain will expire on 30 June after which he is free to join up with the Bundesliga outfit.

Meunier started out his career with Belgian side, Virton and then switched to Club Brugge. PSG signed him for €7 million in 2016 and was allowed to run down his four-year contract. There were previous talks about him moving to the Premier League but Dortmund has snapped him up before anyone else.

BVB are making provisions for the potential departure of Achraf Hakimi after the 2019/20 season. He has proven to be a real threat on the right flank but Dortmund will find it difficult to prize him away from Real Madrid. He will finish out his loan at the Signal Iduna Park this summer and probably head back to the Santiago Bernabeu.
